Hiroshi Yoshida Exhibition

2024.09.06(Fri) - 2024.10.23(Wed)

Overview

Hiroshi Yoshida (1876–1950) is known as a painter who led the Western art scene in the fields of watercolor, oil painting, and woodblock prints from the Meiji to Showa periods. At the age of 49, he published his first woodblock print works under his own supervision, aiming to create new woodblock prints that integrated Western realistic expressions with Japan’s traditional woodblock print techniques. In this exhibition, we will display the woodblock prints that Hiroshi Yoshida produced during his travels around the world, including Japan, Europe, India, China, and other countries.

First Exhibition Period: Until Tuesday, October 1
Second Exhibition Period: From Wednesday, October 2 onward
We plan to replace all the works between these periods.
