Explanation
On the right screen a group of women and children can be seen under flowering cherry trees, absorbed in furyū-odori, a cheerful masquerade with elegant parasols. It vividly depicts the spontaneous recreational scene from the Momoyama period. On the left screen is a scene from falconry, a favorite pastime of the samurai class of that time. From the painting style of the trees and rocks and the scenery layout, it is thought to be the work of Unkoku Tōgan.
