Access information

By Bus

Buses depart from Atami railway station bus terminal: head left after you exit the station. The bus bound for MOA Museum of Art (final stop) leaves from Rank 8 and takes about 7 minutes.
※From Friday 1 December 2023, fares will be 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for children.

By Taxi

Taxis are available at the station. It takes approximately 7 minutes to the museum.

By Car

From the Tokyo area (approximately 2 hours)

From the Shizuoka area (approximately 1 hour)

Parking

Car parks for visitors are provided near the main building (not the escalator entrance). Proceed toward the museum’s 3rd floor gate, and the parking areas are situated immediately before the entrance gate. Parking is free of charge.

Visit Guidance and Policies

To help us ensure that our visitors have a pleasant and enjoyable experience in the museum and to maintain an optimal environment for the museum collection, visitors are kindly asked to observe the following. Thank you for your understanding.

  • No flash photography in the galleries. Loaned exhibits may not be photographed.
  • Use of monopods, tripods and selfie-sticks is prohibited anywhere in the museum.
  • Taking photos for commercial purposes is strictly prohibited.
  • No smoking within the museum site including outdoors (except in the designated smoking cabin).
  • Do not touch the exhibits or display glass panes.
  • Fountain pens, ball-point pens and painting brushes may not be used inside the galleries as they may damage the exhibits on display.
  • Hazardous items may not be brought into the museum site.
  • No loud noises or talking loudly in the galleries.
  • Animals and plants may not be brought into the museum site (except guide dogs and other assisting animals).
  • Umbrellas and parasols are not allowed in the museum. Secure umbrella racks are provided at the entrance.
  • Please refrain from using mobile or smartphones to make/receive calls inside the galleries.
