Basic Policy
MOA Museum of Art (hereinafter referred to as "the Museum") recognizes the importance of personal information, complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other relevant laws and guidelines, and strives for the proper handling and safe management of personal information. The Museum acquires personal information by lawful and fair means and uses it only within the scope of its stated purpose of use.
Acquisition of Personal Information
The Museum may acquire customers' personal information through the following methods:
- Contact via inquiry forms, emails, etc.
- Ticket purchases, reservations, donations, membership systems, and various event applications.
- Responses to questionnaires, service usage registration.
- Acquisition of technical information through website access analysis and Cookies. Acquisition will be conducted by lawful and fair means, with the purpose of use clearly indicated.
Purposes of Use of Personal Information
The personal information acquired by the Museum will be used within the scope of the following purposes:
- Responding to inquiries/requests and managing response history.
- Reservation, operation, and guidance for exhibitions, performances, events, and workshops, etc.
- Procedures and communication regarding ticket purchases, donations, membership systems, and public relations activities.

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
The Museum will not provide personal information to third parties, except in cases defined as "Provision to a Third Party" under law. Excluding cases of outsourcing (entrustment of handling) which are not considered "Provision to a Third Party" under law, the Museum may provide personal information to third parties only if one of the following applies:
- When the individual consents.
- When necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual's consent.
- When requested by public institutions, etc., based on laws and regulations.
Outsourcing
When outsourcing the handling of personal information, the Museum will carefully select the contractor, conclude a contract concerning personal information protection, and exercise appropriate supervision. Restrictions and conditions regarding sub-outsourcing will also be stipulated in the contract, and periodic inspections and confirmations will be conducted as necessary.
Joint Use
The Museum does not currently engage in joint use of personal information. If joint use is implemented in the future, the purpose of use, the scope of joint users, the responsible party for management, etc., will be publicly announced in advance.
Retention Period of Personal Information
The Museum will not retain personal information for a period longer than necessary to achieve the purpose of use. In principle, personal information will be promptly deleted or anonymized after the following periods have elapsed:
- Standard inquiries: Within 6 months after the completion of the response.
- Ticket purchase, reservation, donation, membership system related: Within 1 year after the completion of the response.
- Cases where there is an obligation to retain based on laws and regulations: The period stipulated by the relevant laws.
