Tea Bowl; named ‘Hatsushigure’
This bowl, coated with an overlay of clay and fired, has burnt to a dark purplish brown color, with reddish yellow ash glaze partially covering the body and the foot creating a beautiful scenery, from which the bowl has been named "Hatsushigure", meaning the first wintry shower. The bowl featuring a misshapen trianglar mouth, a body with a dent on one side and a large sturdy foot, has a magnificent appearance reflecting the wabi aesthetic sense.
