Explanation
Chōshun was a painter of the middle Edo period who concentrated solely to painting and left nothing on woodblock prints. Here he depicts with smooth lines the beautiful posture of a woman arranging her hair under a willow tree. The mainly red garment and blue sash make for a striking color effect.
