It is decorated on the interior with clouds and waves in underglaze blue and dragons in overglaze red, and likewise on the exterior with clouds and dragons. Compared to the products of the Ming dynasty, design and coloring are more delicate and sophisticated. The elegant dish is a beautiful example displaying the characteristic features of the imperial wares of the Yongzheng period (1723–35).
