‘The Tensho Embassy’ by the Konparu School

Overview
Along with holding 1st Anniversary of MOA Museum of Art Renovation Exhibition: Nobunaga and Quattro Ragazzi, we are delighted to present new noh play ‘The Tensho Embassy’ by the Konparu School.
Last year (2017), on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of bilateral ties between Italy and Japan, this noh play was performed in four cities of Italy – Rome, Florence, Venice and Vicenza.
This new noh play was produced based on historical facts during their journey over 8 years which include the hardships of the long voyage, warm welcomes they had in those cities in Italy as well as the grand welcoming party held at the Olympic Theatre in Vicenza in 1585.
