Gourmet in Atami
Mimatsu Sushi
This long-established sushi restaurant is open for lunch and dinner, with counter and table seating. It serves a wide range of locally caught, seasonal seafood sourced from Atami seafood market and nearby fishing ports including Ajiro and Izusan. There is also a great selection of Japanese sake, shochu and other beverages. Famous patrons have included author Jun’ichirō Tanizaki (1886-1965). The unpretentious exterior is no indication of the quality of the food, which has made Mimatsu Sushi an enduring favorite with tourists and locals.
